Climate data: source files

For researchers and scientists, climate data are stored in netCDF files.

The netCDF file format is widely used in climatology to store multi-dimensional climate data, offering flexible structure and detailed metadata. It facilitates access, inter-software compatibility and analysis of climatological data for research and modeling.

Surveys can be extremely varied, in terms of geospatialization, temporal scale and the very nature of the phenomena observed.

There are, for example, records of land temperatures, ocean temperatures, precipitation, humidity levels, forest fire frequency, ground frost frequency, ice levels, CO2 concentration, and so on. It is through this cloud of raw information that we can anticipate future transformations.
